North American Board Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP)

NABCEP offers Certifications that are widely recognized as the "gold standard" for renewable energy installers. Achieving the Certification represents a milestone career achievement for solar electric (photovoltaic) and solar thermal installers, The Certifications offer a way for individuals that have a combination of education and experience to distinguish themselves by passing a very rigorous exam. Over 1,000 individuals have earned NABCEP Certified Installer credentials. NABCEP also offers an Entry Level knowledge assessment examination that tests the candidate's basic understanding of the fundamental principals of the application, design, installation and operation of grid-tied and off-grid PV systems.
